Back to School time...

After only one day back I've already got obscure stick figures in ambiguous situations doing what they do best - exploiting the rather strange brand of humour that philosophers appear to be endowed with. The inspiration behind every single comic can be linked back to a lecture I have been in, which does mean that the courses I take is reflective in the topics the comics engage in...duh?

The idea for these comics came about when I was sitting my 17th and 18th Century Philosophy final exam back in April, which resulted in the comic concerning Descartes approach to Foundationalism. TETRIS is the ultimate analogy of life, but more on that maybe in another blog post.

Back to the point, this semester you can expect an onslaught of comics inspired by readings, lectures and discussions from the following courses:
  • Practical Reason and Human Action
  • Issues in Philosophy of Mind
  • Freedom and Determinism
  • Feminism
  • Topics in 17th and 18th Century Philosophy (Descartes)
Sunday's comic shall be based on Ryle's discussion of Category Errors in "Descartes' Myth", and for the time being, here is a comic relating to Practical Reason:
